Terms and conditions

Change-of-mind returns must be made within 7 days of purchase. All goods must be returned unused and in good condition, with original packaging and instructions. The store manager reserves the right to refuse a refund if the goods do not comply with the Easy Living Mobility Returns Policy.

Returning capitol products

A capitol product is defined as a product of high value, such as a mobility scooter, wheelchair, rise recliner etc; this list is not exhaustive. You have the right to return a capital product within 7 days of purchase. However, due to the nature and value of capital products, Easy Living Mobility reserves the right to charge a “reasonable fee” to cover the cost of re-stocking the product, administration and loss of value. If you wish to return a capital product, please consider the following costs:

  • Original delivery fee – £varied
  • Cost of collection – £80
  • Damage/scratched/heavy usage – £varied
  • Re-packaging fee – £65
  • Administration fee – £25

The above rates are negotiated between the customer and store manager before any return has been agreed. This does not affect your statutory rights with regards to returning faulty or not fit-for-purpose goods.

Returning/Cancelling Stairlifts

If you’ve purchased a stairlift you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of you paying the deposit. However, during this 14-day cooling off period we will not order any parts or commence work. You may request work to commence before the end of your 14-day cooling off period by signing our 14-day waiver form. However, this forfeits your right to a full refund if you cancel the order within the cooling-off period. Much like our capitol products policy, Easy Living Mobility reserve the right to charge a “reasonable fee” if the customer wishes to cancel their stairlift order, based on the costs incurred in getting the parts made to order and labour.

  • If parts have been ordered but not yet fitted – £25 admin fee
  • If parts have been ordered and installed – £250 decommission fee plus £25 admin fee

The above rates are negotiated between the customer and store manager before any cancellation has been agreed. This does not affect your statutory rights with regards to returning faulty or not fit-for-purpose goods.

Exceptions

The following product types are excluded from the refund policy due to health and safety regulations.

  • Incontinence products
  • Bathroom aids
  • Toileting aids
  • Mattresses (unless faulty or unopened)

The exception to the rule is if the product is returned unused and unopened.
